Welcome to Independently Driven, where we believe everyone deserves the freedom and independence that comes with driving.
After years in Disability Employment Services, I've seen firsthand how not having a driver's license can create a significant barrier to employment. It became clear to me that there was a shortage of driving instructors who understand the needs of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of female instructors in the field. That's when I decided to take action.
Now a qualified Motor Driving Instructor, I am committed to supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting social inclusion through driving independence. At Independently Driven, we provide a supportive environment where individuals can build confidence behind the wheel and overcome barriers to independence.
I am registered as a preferred provider with CITB to support eligible apprentices with free driving lessons as an incentive. I am a vendor with the DCP (department of child protection) and I partner with various community organisations that support our most vulnerable cohort in breaking down barriers with moving forward in life.
